In case you haven't heard with all the rumble that's been going on with Kevin Durant heading to the Bay. Another big annoucement was made earlier this week. Nike founder Phil Knight officially retired from Nike. This announcement left many people wondering who will replace him and what does the future look like for Nike.
Now with Phil Knight gone, Nike turns to Apple CEO, Tim Cook, who's been tasked with leading Nike's board of members as independent director. Tim Cook have been a member of Nike's board since 2005. With this he is alrady familiar with the ins and outs of Nike, and his new leadership role is intedned to help ease Nike CEO Mark Parker as he takes on becoming the president, CEO and chairman of the company.
Congratulations Tim Cook! We look forward to the future of Nike.
